Obtaining Your Real Estate License

Educational Programs include a PA State-Approved 60-clock hour course. It is designed to meet the PA requirements and will guide you through the process of passing the state-licensing exam.

How do I become a Licensed Real Estate Agent?

Requirements:

• 18 Years of age
• Completed Application
• Proof of completion of a 60-clock hour class in a State Approved Program
• Passing grade on the state license exam

PA License Exam

• You must pre-register, no walk-in registration is accepted. Results of the exam are given to you on the day of the examination.
• The exams are held in numerous sites throughout the Pittsburgh area. Call Information Assistance for the office nearest you.
• The exam consists of two sections - the National section and the State section. You must pass with at least 70 percent on each portion.
• To obtain your license, candidates must receive a license application card (available from the Department of Licensing) and obtain their Broker's signature.
